Please congratulate Samuel on his promotion to Jr. Engineer.
January 15, 2020
Monroe North Port is proud to announce the promotion of Samuel Vasquez to Jr Engineer.
Samuel joined the company in May of 2017. He started in Production as a production assembler. Samuel performed at a very high level from the start. He quickly learned to Prep, Poke, Solder, and read drawings. As part of his training, he began Hi-Pot testing which allowed him to not only better understand our products but see the areas for improvement. The fact that he was self-motivated and a team player made him able to get tasks completed on his own while helping production. Samuels’ great communication skills and the fact that he is bi-lingual made him a great fit to speak with engineering and production when issues came up. He also possessed the ability to think through these issues and allowed him to make suggestions that ultimately helped the product to ship on time and in a quality manner.
In 2018 Samuel was asked to join the engineering team as a technician. He did so with great enthusiasm. He used this opportunity to help define his personal life as well by attending college while working full time. His love of technology has enhanced his abilities at work and at school. During his college attendance, he achieved the Dean’s List six times. His attention to detail and ability to multitask has kept a balance between work and school without interruption. During his time as a technician, he performed above expectations and advanced to Engineering specialists. His ability to do drawings, ECN’s, labor quotations, test mate selections, help production with issues, and continued Hi-Pot training of folks in production has given Samuel a very well-rounded background. With this, he became the go-to person for most everything he has mastered.
In the spring of 2019, Samuel took on the role of ISO champion for Monroe North Port. He did not have a clue as to what this meant but did not hesitate to jump in with both feet and help the entire division become certified under ISO 9001-2015. He has had made great strides in keeping the teams focused on maintaining the necessary metrics. This, along with his current responsibilities, has made Samuel a huge asset for his team and the entire group.
In December of 2019, Samuel achieved a great milestone in his personal life by graduating with an AAS in his chosen technical field and he did so with honors. We are proud of all the achievements Samuel has achieved and extremely happy to have him as part of our team. As he continues to grow in knowledge, education, and skillset it will be my pleasure to encourage and mentor him throughout his career at Monroe.
Please join me in congratulating Samuel on a well-deserved promotion.
